Christmas comes every year. Christmas is about when Jesus or God was born...i think. This little pine tree doesn't know what Christmas is about or what it is. So, I am going to explain it to the pine tree. Well, Christmas is a holiday where everybody gets together and eats and spends time with their family and friends. Christmas is also when you get presents...that's what kids like the most about it. Christmas is really important to families all over the world. I love Christmas...and so does a lot if people, even you, Little Pine Tree. Well, that's all the time i have. Hope you get the idea about Christmas.

My Brother Coming Home For Christmas

I am so excited about my bubby coming home for Christmas from doing Basic Training for the Army!! That's what I call my oldest brother because he calls me lil' sis. When he comes home, we are having a party to welcome him back home because in 3 weeks after he gets home, he has to leave again. I miss him so much, I can not wait to give him a big hug. I'm pretty sure i'll cry but I doubt it because I don't usually cry about that kind of stuff. he wrote a letter back to me saying that he missed me a lot. And i told him I missed him picking on me. Now, that's what I call brotherly/sisterly love!

Snow Day

Last Friday I didn't have school because of a snow day. I'm glad we haven't had anymore snow days this week because if we do then we won't get a Spring Break...and I want my Spring Break!!! Well, what I did last Friday on the day I was off school is sat  inside and watched movies all day and drank Hot Chocolate and then at night, I stayed up until 5:30 in the morning and had a party with my cousin and my best friend Tayler. We had lots of fun. We watched Grown Ups 2 and it is hilarious!! But i hope we don't have  a snow day on Friday again because I have plans. So, fingers-crossed!! :)

Stolen Christmas Lights

Apparently, my friend went into my basement one night and stole all of my Christmas lights and I know they were mine because they looked similar and I checked to see if my Christmas lights were still there in my basement and all of them were gone. I could not believe she stole them from my basement and one day I saw her putting them up and that was the only explanation that she could have stole them.

This Weekend

Okay, so this weekend I am doing a ton of stuff. So Friday I am going to the movies and bring my bfe's (best friend/friends ever) with me and their bf's (boyfriends) and i'm probably not gonna bring anyone unless i find a guy to go with or i'm gonna bring my cousin if he can go. we go everywhere together..pretty much. Anyways, then Friday night after I get home, i'm going to my grandma's house and we are going to have some fun with my little sister and possibly little brother if his mom will bring him. Then Saturday, we are going to eat junk food and play GH2 and GH3 (that means Guitar Hero) all day. And then Sunday, we are going to church becuase my grandma goes to church so we have to go with her then go out to eat at Golden Corral or Ponderosa. Well, that's what I will be doing this weekend.

I Deserve a Day Off

I deserve a day off from school because I have been having school ever since I was five and i'm tired of coming to school for five days a week. I think we should have half a day on Wednesdays and no school on Mondays. It's just not fair. Well, I don 't think it's fair and i'm pretty sure other kids would agree with me. That's just my opinion but others can disagree with me, I honestly don't care. Anyways, I think i should have a day of school.

This Picture Reminds Me of Me

This picture reminds me of me when i was little. It reminds me of me when i was little because i used to live in Ashland, MO, and i used to sit out on my back patio in the mornings before school and (sometimes when i didn't have to go to school because i was sick or i had an appointment to go to or it was the weekend) listen to music and look at myself while i would sing and dance because i always had a little mirror for that. I don't know why i would look at my self but i just did because it kept me entertained and it kept me happy. Music is my life and the key to my happiness. It has always been and always will be. I still use a mirror when i sing to this day. It just...i don't know...but anyways....that is what it reminds me of and i'll never forget the/those times when it made me happy.

The Cardinals Lost Last Night

Okay, so the STL Cardinals lost last night. It was 8-1. Of course, we were the 1. We did really bad last night. We made it all the to the World Series and now last night they decided to not try and play right and they costed us the game. Also, Carlos Beltran bruised his right rib from the wall. I heard that he is still able to play, which is good. I hope we win the Cards game tonight and the other games. Wish us luck. GO CARDS!!!

We Just Broke Into a Gas Station

Okay, so i broke into a gas station Saturday with my friends and i still haven't told my mom and dad why yet. Well, the reason why i broke into the gas station (this is really a stupid reason so i don't know why i was the one who got in trouble with the police) is because it was a dare. There, i said it. Happy now mom!! But anyways, i did because a dare. It all started when my friends and i was bored so we decided to play a game....then one of them suggested to play a game called "Triple Dog Dare" and the one who chickened out, was the one who got there head shaved.

This weekend, i am going to probably go to my cousin's and/or best friend Tayler Turnbough's house. And Sunday night, i'm coming home, helping my mom with Halloween decorations, eating dinner, watching Chucky with my mom, taking a shower, then going to bed!:)

The Story With Monsters

Okay, so i was walking home from school when i heard a loud screaming girl voice coming from this old, rusty-looking house behind me. When i turned around, i saw a big 20 foot tall monster standing in the window staring at me. I wasn't really scared at first because i thought it was my imagination playing me because i was already having a bad day that day. Anyways, what i did was kept on walking when i heard the monster screaming beastly... it was louder than before. So...i turned around and it was running after me. Well, i finally got home and when i did. it wasn't there outside my house. So, later that night, i slowly got up to see if he was out there and he wasn't. I was relieved. Then, i tried to go to bed...and i heard something under my bed...so i looked under my bed and the monster/beastly thingy screamed!!

She's Not Dead

The weirdest thing happened last week. My teacher died and a few days later, my friends and i got a similar message unexpected. We all thought it was a clue that she wasn't dead because the letter said, "Don't worry about me. I'll be okay. But remember to do your math and have fun. I will miss you all. Bye." Well, it was our MATH teacher who died... i wonder what we could do to figure out if she was dead or not. On the back, the letter said, "p.s. if you want to figure out how i am messaging you... come down to Florida. You'll find me." Well, it was a little creepy but my friends and i decided to go see so i will let you know what happened. Bye.

They Took Everything Except One Odd Thing

Okay, so these robbers broke into my house and now everything in my house is gone except for one thing.... a hammer. They left a hammer that i recognized from a store that my mom and i went to the other day that sold tools and furniture and all that stuff. So basically, it's kind of like a everything in one store. Anyways, maybe they could of been a worker there or something. I have no clue....

Friday: the Back to School Dance, going to my dad's afterwards.

Tape Measure

This tape measure saved someone very important to me. It saved my dog. My dog was stuck in a hole and that tape measure from my dads toolbox and it was on the ground because he forgot to put it away and my dog's wrist was caught around it and i came outside and pulled the tape measure because i was cleaning up and it was hard to pick up. So i looked in the hole and there my dog was holding on. That tape measure saved my dog's life.

Scary Awakening

My dog woke me up in the middle of the night barking at the window. i got up from bed and saw a face starring back at me in the window. It was really creepy and scary. it looked kinda like a really possessed little girl. then i realized... it was ....my....sister.....

My Summer Vacation

My summer vacation was pretty good this year. I went camping, swimming, and went to Six Flags like 20 times! I really loved my summer this year because i got to see my boyfriend a lot and we went everywhere together like going to Six Flags and swimming. I had a lot of fun with him this summer. I hope next summer it will be the same as last summer. I'm really looking forward to it.

I just read a short story about a 9-year old girl who drove her dad to the hospital and found out what was wrong. the girl said he was driving crazy and acting weird and saying weird things. So she took the wheel and he wouldn't let her but she fought him. Do you want to know what he had? Her dad had a golf-ball sized tumor in his brain.

Letter From Classmate

I received a letter from a former classmate, who is now in prison and he needs something from me, only. I would like to give him clothes but there is security cameras and i can't sneak in. What I have learned

The things I really liked about technology class is typing web and I also enjoyed when we did the scavenger hunt with the cameras. What I disliked about technology class was when we had to write the definitions and make compound and complex sentences. The project that i really liked was the excel project because you can use creative thoughts to come up with the thing you want to make. Also what I think you should change is instead of only giving the 8th graders the scavenger hunt you should let the 7th graders experience it too.

Six Flags

I enjoy going to six flags, since I go so much my mom decided to just get our whole family a season pass to six flags. I have already been a bunch of times this spring and will go a bunch more over the summer. Some of my most favorite rides there are the Panamonia, Superman, and the Mr. Freeze. When it becomes summer the water park opens, it is filled with a lot of water slides. My favorite water ride will have to be the Tornado. When we are hungry at six flags I enjoy eating at this restaurant that is inside and has the best waffle fries. When I go to six flags I like to eat at the ice cream place and I love the dip n dots.

The Brave man and the Dog

One day a gigantic fire struck out in a Best Western hotel. It was at 3:00 am when Steve had gotten the call, all firefighters were to get dressed and go imediatly to the hotel. As soon as Steve arrived he pulled out a water hose, with the help of more strong men, and triggered the water at the hotel. When they announced no one was left in the building Steve saw the Doberman dog. He started sprinting to the hotel door with dozens of men telling him it was to dangerous to go inside. Even though he heard that it was a daring thing to do he still proceeded to do so. As Steve saved the dog he was named a hero and got a lick from the dog. Soon after that Steve adopted the dog because it was a stray hiding in the hotel.

The seven doors

If I had to pick a door I would pick wonderland because I could see the white queen and help her destroy the evil queen, her army, and the jagawaski. When I walk through the door I see pretty flowers and I see a fluffy white rabbit running. I decide to follow the rabbit and he jumps in a hole in the ground that is when I see her, the evil queen. She is standing there right behind me with her army. I run away and the white queen and her army help me kill the evil queen, her army, and the jagawaski.

Florida

In July I am going to Destin, Florida. I haven't seen the ocean since I was six which was about seven years ago. This year is my big vacation year since I am going a big place with my dad and a big place with my mom. When we go to Destin we are going to see the ocean we might even go to Disney World and Sea World. Since there are six people in my dad and my step moms family we have decided to drive to Florida. When we arrive in Florida we will unpack and then go to the beach. This year for vacation is going to be the best.

Track

One of my favorite sports is track I started out in track in fifth grade. I decided to quit it during the middle of the season. Today I am in the middle of my season for seventh grade track. I have decided to give it a try but  I thought I wouldn't be good enough but instead they told me to try triple jump and I loved it. Now today I am a triple jumper the best girl triple jumper on the Festus team. My farthest jump was at my meet at Perryville I jumped 25 feet 9 inches. My parents were so proud of me and I was especially excited for myself . I am going to continue to do track through 8th grade and high school.

Ruler

A ruler make me think of many things. it makes me think of sports because in track when you do long jump or triple jump they have to see how long your jump was. It also makes me think of numbers because it has numbers on it. Also houses, floors, walls, or landscaping. All people dealing with construction need to know how to use or measure with a ruler. Also carpenters do to or people who draw or construct buildings so they can know how long or wide a wall, window, or floor needs to be.

Jamaica

    In September I get to go to Jamaica for a week. When I am in Jamaica I get to go swimming with the dolphins, got to the beach, and go para-sailing. Jamaica has different types of food than the U.S.A does so I will have to get used to the foods down there. When I am on the beach I am going to collect seashells. Also I am going to go swimming and build sand castles. Also it will be an amazing experience to get to swim with dolphins and go para-sailing.

Memories

If I could bottle up a memory the memory would be of when I still had my two dogs. I would open it everyday so I can still remember how much I enjoyed having my dogs. When I still had my dogs we would have so much fun. I would take them on walks, give them baths, play with them, and even  teach them tricks. When my dogs were sick or had to go to the vet for either shots or check ups, I would be there right next to                      them.

Softball

There is so many sports in the world but in particular my favorite sport is softball. This will be my second year playing on a fast pitch softball team. Last year my team played in the 12u but this year we are playing 14u. Even though this is only my second year of playing softball I am still really good at it. My softball team  has our first practice of the season this Friday at 6:00. I am very excited and so are the girls on my team. We have two new girls this year but they have played before so they will do great. I love having home games because usually if we have a home game and win we all go to Dairy Queen. Last year my softball team was the champions of our league. We got trophies and plenty more stuff. I love softball and hope to continue to play and get super good at it.

Technology

The two photographs of the events are only eight years apart. But one is different in a way. The picture on the left is of just people watching the event but the picture on the right is of people watching the event and recording it by using smart phones, iPads, tablets, or as most know it technology. This is a significant change in technology going from only people watching it to people using technology to record it in only eight years.

I am going to discuss some things that I really enjoy. One of the things that I love is food. Another thing about me is I love sports. I play four sports, which are gymnastics, track, choir, and softball. My favorite color is pink. I have two hamsters, one is a teddy bear hamster and the other one is a dwarf hamster.

More things that I am going to discuss are about summer. In the summer I always get a season pass to Six Flags. I go there a lot in the summer with my family to have lots of fun. Also in September I am going to Jamaica for a week with my mom, her boyfriend, his daughter, and my sister. We get to do a lot of fun things down in Jamaica like we get to swim with the dolphins and go parasliding.

My experiences with computers are average. Since my mom is a paralegal i go up to her work on the weekends sometimes to help her out. Sometimes i will get to type for her or file for her. Also i have an apple iPhone and I do good with it and love it. I have loved to type ever since i was little so I think this class will be good for me.

Sum It All Up: Computer Class

To sum up all of this class I would say it was pretty fun. Some things I really liked about this class was that everyday was different. Also, we did a lot of fun projects like making a brochure. That was probably my favorite project because I liked that we didn't have to follow certain directions and we were free with our choices. some things I didn't like about this class were that on the final project we had to make directions for someone else to make what you made. I have a really hard time figuring out how to tell people directions because even though I know how to follow directions if someone else gives them to me, it's hard for me to come up with directions for someone else to make what I made correctly.

Why I Love Mrs. DeBolt

There are so many different reasons I love Mrs. DeBolt. The first reason is that she's very nice and lenient. Also, she encourages us to do our work and reassures us that I we can do it. One time I got a H.O.T. sheet and it was my first H.O.T. sheet that I had ever gotten. I was really sad that I had gotten it and felt terrible, but she took me out into the hall and told me everything was going to be fine because it was my first one and it was no big deal. I felt much better afterward. After I had gotten the H.O.T. sheet I knew what it felt like and I never wanted to feel that way again. Mrs. DeBolt is such a wonderful teacher and I don't want to go to 8th and not have her in  class even though I'm going to be a library assistant and do FACS instead. Thank you Mrs. DeBolt for the great learning experience and the fun time I had in your class.

How Much I Want To Be A Bridesmaid

I really want to be a bridesmaid when my aunt gets married. The reason I want to be a bridesmaid so bad is that I think it would be really cool to walk down the aisle and support my aunt on her special day. Also, I think it would be really fun to dress up in a fancy dress and get my hair done all nice.

The Door That Leads To Narnia

I found myself in front of seven identical doors. A voice from above tells me: "These seven doors lead to seven places: Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland, Hogwarts, Camelot, Middle Earth, and Westeros."

I was very confused and surprised at the same time. I thought it would be cool to go into each one to see what they were all like, but one really stood out for me. 

I chose to go to Narnia because I don't go to church and i thought it would be nice to get more of an understanding of God.

When I walked through that door I was terrified. I was afraid I was going to die right then and there. I was going to die just because I made the stupid mistake to wonder off in the middle of the night. My mother warned me that these parts of the woods were very special and that I should stay close to the cabin, but I was so curious...

They Took Everything But One Odd Thing

There was a break-in at my house. they took everything- my couch, my clothes, my toilet paper- except for one odd item they left right in the middle of the living room floor. this item could lead me to the culprit....

Last year I was talking to a friend on my cell phone and all of a sudden my house phone rang. it surprised me because it never rings. EVER! I told my friend I had to let her go and that I would call her back later. I went downstairs to the phone, picked it up and answered it. It was some weird sounding guy who said he worked at a homeless shelter around town and was asking if I wanted to donate some money.

Valentine's Day And So On

Today is Valentine's Day, and my dad finally gets to come home late tonight. My mom is planning on getting the movie Pitch Perfect. We are going to watch the movie and open presents that we got from each other. I'm very excited though because this is going to be the first day this week that we i get to relax and spend time with my mom and sister. Then tomorrow, we are going to wake up at a fairly good time and watch the new Big Bang Theory that's going to be on tonight. After that, we're going to have breakfast and get on the road to drive to Branson, Missouri. We are going to go to brunch on Sunday and hang out the rest of the time. Then, we're going to drive back home Monday morning because I have an orthodontist appointment that I have to be at. The orthodontist appointment, I'm excited about because I can finally find out when I'm going to get braces.

My Birthday

Today is my birthday and I'm so excited. At 12:41 I will be 13. My dad is in San Diego, but that's okay because my mom is taking me to the Blue Owl Sweet Shop for dinner. I'm going to get some white chili and possibly a strawberry salad. Then, I'm going to go home and get a good night test for my three test tomorrow.

My Upcoming Birthday Weekend

This Saturday is the day my friends are coming over for my birthday. I'm inviting five of my friends and it's going to be so much fun. We're going to hang out, make our own pizza and then eat them, open presents, eat cake pops, watch movies, play games, and just all around have a fun time. then, the next day, Sunday, I'm going to have my family party. I think that's also going to be fun because I'm going to get to see a lot of family members I don't get to see on a daily basis. Also, I'll get to see my little cousins and play with them. They are so cute! On my actual birthday, my dad will be out of town so it will just be my mom, my sister, and me.

My 13th Birthday

I'm so excited because my birthday is coming up in bout two weeks. I'm going to have a family party and I'm       

going to have a friend party. with my family party my mom is going to get a cake from SAM'S. ( I love their icing!) Also, we're going to invite my my dad's brother and his wife and kids, my dad's parents, and my dad's aunt and her husband, my mom's parents, and my mom's youngest sister and her boyfriend. Then on my friend party we're going to invite five of my friends. We're going to have so much fun!

The Bottled Up Memory

The memory that I would bottle up would when my sister was born and I saw her for the first time. When it comes to how many times I would open this memory would be when I would get really mad at my sister. I would open it and watch her be born all over again.

The date was October 2, 2003. I was at my grandma's house for the day while my mom was at a meeting at the doctor's office about my baby sister. My mom decided that she was sick and tired of having to be poked with needles, and the doctor said that she could have the baby. My mom called my grandma's house after she arrived to the hospital and said that she was ready to have the baby. while we were waiting for the right time we were having last second thoughts on baby names. I said I really liked the name Lily and my mom liked it too, but my dad wanted Liliana. We decided on Liliana Rose Knickman but we would call her Lily for short. That's the memory that I would bottle up.

NJHS Interviews

Today after school I'm supposed to go to an NJHS interview. I'm extremely nervous because I'm afraid I'm going to seriously bomb the interview. I'm nervous because sometimes I can get shy when it's just me and other adults in the room asking me questions about myself. Sometimes I'll have to think long and hard about the most simple questions they ask me like when my grandparents always ask " How's school going?" A very nice teacher, Mrs. DeBolt, just reassured me and told me not to be nervous and that I was going to do great. Thanks Mrs DeBolt!

MLK Day Vs. Veteran's Day

I think that if the district thinks it's important to be at school on Veteran's Day and learn about the veterans than we should be at school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day because Martin Luther King Jr. was just as important as the veterans of the United States. Veterans fought for our country risking their lives for our freedom, but Martin Luther King Jr. also did great things like fought for other peoples rights at his own risk.

The Fungus That Kills Bats

There is a fungus called White- Nosed syndrome, and it's affecting hibernating bats the most. So far, the fungus has killed millions of bats eastern U.S. Scientists have found the fungus in a 390 mile long cave ( Kentucky's Mammoth Cave National Park.) The cave has been closed for closed to the public for close to 100 years, but they are allowing it to stay open. They are making careful precautions in order to make tourists safe. This syndrome is causing these bats to behave awkwardly. All we can do is hope for the best and pray for these bats.

The First Time I Watched Gone With The Wind

The first time I watched Gone with the Wind was on Sunday and I loved it! My favorite character was probably Melanie because even though Scarlet did some mean things, she still was nice to her and made everyone else be nice to her too. My least favorite part of the movie was when Scarlet went home from Atlanta with Melanie and her baby and found out that her mother had died and her dad had become a lunatic.

My AR Goal for 3rd Quarter

Just a few days age I took the star reading test for 3rd quarter. My 2nd quarter reading level was 11.8, and my goal was 24.5 points but I made it to 100 points. This quarter when I took the star reading test, however I went down to a 9.5 reading level with a goal of 24.5 points. My teacher though, Ms. Page, thought that I had a way higher reading level than that and put me back up to an 11.8 reading level with 100 points as my goal since I'm already at 50 points for the quarter.
